Tabernacles 2017

October 5th – 14th

Chandler, OK

I would like to personally invite you and your family to join us at Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) hosted by Lion and Lamb Ministries, held in our usual beautiful location at Bell Cow Lake in Chandler, Oklahoma from October 5th through October 14, 2017. Since the last day is the weekly Sabbath, you may remain in the camp until Sunday morning, October 15th; however, no meals or services will be provided after the Shabbat service on October 14th.

This year’s theme is Zealous over Zion, and we will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem and the 70th for the State of Israel. We have invited a number of excellent teachers and worship leaders to join the Tabernacles team to provide new and expanded activities for every member of your family.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) is called the “season of joy,” and we are given the double commandment in the Torah to “rejoice before the Lord.” This is time to meet your fellow Messianic brethren from all over the world. Each evening we eat the feast together and then assemble for worship, dance, and teaching. Several evenings will have activities for youth, and College & Career aged groups for extra fellowship. During the day, we have programs for children, junior youth, youth, and adults. I can assure you that you will have a very enjoyable experience.

If you are new to the Messianic Movement, we definitely want you to join us. We want you to see that this movement is bigger than you thought and to experience rapid growth in your faith. We are offering first-time youth (ages 1417) and adult attendees 10% off their full‑time registration fee (does not include camping fee).

Please consult the Planning section to learn about the different options to register for our Feast and the Volunteer section for more details on how you can fully participate.

You can register online at Specific questions about Tabernacles 2017 can be emailed to [email protected] or by calling (405) 701–3577. Please don’t delay as space is limited and, as in previous years, we expect a full camp.

We know that joining us for Tabernacles may require you to take time off from work and school, and beyond the cost of registration, there is also the expense of traveling to camp. These are not insignificant expenses; however, we encourage you to bring a designated gift or offering for the LORD as commanded in Deuteronomy 16:16. Consider your decision now and prepare your hearts to join with fellow believers and come worship the LORD! The camp won’t be the same without you!

Planning for Tabernacles

If you are planning to join us for Lion and Lamb Ministries' Feast of Tabernacles, here is some important information you need to know. It will help you plan and answer your questions.

There are two ways to register for Tabernacles: Full‑time and Weekend Pass. Full‑time will either camp with us or stay in nearby lodging for the entire 10 days. Weekend Pass covers the first weekend (Thursday–Sunday) but does not allow you to camp on our campground—you must provide your own lodging outside the camp or be a guest of a full‑time participant by their invitation.

We require one registration form to be completed for each family or each single adult, along with a $25 non-refundable deposit fee. August 25, 2017 is the deadline to register, with a $50 late fee after that date. August 25th is also the deadline for final payment. There are no refunds after that date. In all cases, your registration is not confirmed until full payment has been received.

Nearby Motels

If you are planning on staying in a nearby motel, there are two located in Chandler:

  • EconoLodge (405) 258–2131
  • Lincoln Motel (405) 258–0200
in nearby Stroud (located about 15 miles east):
  • Cattle Country Lodge (918) 968–9515
You will need to make your own reservations.

Renting an RV

If you are renting a travel trailer, check the internet for possible vendors. We have had a good relationship with American Dream/RV Consultants, Inc., in OKC, (405) 634–2600. They are not associated with Lion & Lamb in any way; however, they have been very helpful. Let us know if you are renting. We need to know your rental's drop-off and pick-up dates so they will be allowed into the camp and directed to your assigned campsite.

Camping Plans

If you are camping either in a tent or an RV, please prepare for varied weather conditions. Mid-October will be chilly at night and in the mornings. Bring adequate clothing and blankets, including rain gear. Our evening programs will be on an outdoor stage under the stars, and we have contingency plans in case of inclement weather.

Ages for Children and Youth Programs

Ages for children's and youth activities for Full‑Time campers are defined as their age on the first day of Tabernacles (October 5, 2017). Children 3 years and under are free; however, they need to be registered so we can plan for our Toddler Care.

Children ages 4 to 10 are automatically enrolled in the Children's Program and will receive a program T‑shirt. Junior Youth ages 1113 have a program suited to their age group. They are classified as children for registration fees yet will receive a Youth T‑shirt. Youth ages 14 to 17 are automatically enrolled in the Youth Program and will receive a program T‑shirt.

(Make sure to select T‑shirt sizes on the registration form and indicate which child (age 410) gets which T‑shirt size in the individual listing area.) Call us with any questions regarding these programs.

Adult Tabernacles T‑shirts

Adults may order T‑shirts for themselves from any of the 3 designs, but they must be purchased separately (see the form for details). You may order directly from the registration form (guaranteeing availability) or purchase them from the Sukkot Marketplace (if available).

Pet Policy

We have a NO tolerance policy toward pets. If you cannot leave your pet and are planning on camping with us we will place you in Area A (3 ½ miles on the other side of the lake). There will be no pets in Area C (the main camp), including leaving your pet in your vehicle. In Area A dogs are permitted that are on a leash and remain quiet. You MUST let us know if you are planning to bring your pet. We recommend making arrangements for your pet to stay at home. For your convenience, we are including information for a local boarding kennel: Chandler Animal Clinic(405) 258–1536.

No Early Arrivals Policy

We do not want attendees in the camp before or after Tabernacles. Those persons who are part of the set-up or take-down crews are the only ones exempt from this policy (see Volunteer list).

Refund Policy

If you register and then are unable to join us, we will refund your monies as follows:

  • In all case, your $25 registration fee is not refunded.
  • Monies paid before August 25, 2017 will be refunded.
  • There are NO REFUNDS after August 25, 2017. (We must order food and other consumables by that date.)

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many opportunities to serve the LORD and your brethren at Tabernacles. We ask that every able-bodied adult or youth attending Tabernacles volunteer in one or more areas. Toddler Care

All parents of toddlers using our facility are expected to volunteer a few times during the feast. You will be contacted by the team lead.
